If you do not want to agree to these Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the Site.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Acceptance of Terms of Use
Letters in the Dark is a subscription service. All subscriptions (other than our designated non-renewing gift subscriptions) are set to renew automatically. Your card will be charged, and your subscription will resume according to the subscription timeframe you choose at checkout.
Online Purchases and Terms of Sale
To subscribe to any of our subscriptions, you are required to enter personal information. All of this information is subject to our Privacy Policy. (Link to privacy policy)
Eligibility: This Site is for users who are 18 years of age or older. By agreeing to the Terms of Use, you warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract with the Company and meet all of the foregoing eligibility requirements. If you do not meet all of these requirements, you must not access or use the Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of any entity, you further represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept these Terms of Use on such entity’s behalf.
Registration: You are required to create an account in order to purchase from our Site.
Subscribing: By subscribing, you agree to pay your subscription fee for the goods that are delivered for the term agreed upon by both parties.
You must cancel your subscription 24 hours before the renewal date. IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL PRIOR TO THE RENEWAL DATE OF A CALENDAR MONTH, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT MONTH’S SERVICE, AND YOU WILL RECEIVE A Storyville Letter. All cancellation requests received after the renewal date of a calendar month will apply to the following calendar month.
All subscriptions (other than our designated non-renewing gift subscriptions) are set to renew automatically. Your card will be charged, and your subscription will resume according to the subscription timeframe you choose at checkout.
- If you choose the Monthly subscription option (physical or digital), your card will be charged, and your subscription will renew on a monthly basis.
- If you choose the 6-month subscription option, your card will be charged, and your subscription will renew every 6 months.
- If you choose the Yearly subscription option, your card will be charged, and your subscription will renew every 12 months.
If you do not want your subscription to renew automatically, you may log in to your account and cancel your subscription at any time. It is the customer’s responsibility alone to cancel the subscription. Cancellations must be completed before the next renewal date. The remaining amount of letters will be mailed each month, but the subscription will not renew.

Site and Contents Ownership: The Site is owned by Spell Caster Texas LLC, dba Letters in the Dark. All of the content displayed on the Site, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, data, photographic images, moving images, sound, illustrations, software, and the selection and arrangement thereof (Spell Caster Texas, LLC), its licensors, or its third-party image partners. All elements of the Site are protected by copyright, trade dress, moral rights, trademark, and other laws relating to the protection of intellectual property.
Under no circumstances are you entitled to reproduce or distribute your Letters in the Dark without the consent of the intellectual property owner/artist.
All logos, designs, and trademarks and any other product or service name or slogan contained in the Site are trademarks of Letters in the Dark and its suppliers or licensors, and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of the company or the applicable trademark holder. In addition, the design of the Site, including all page headers, custom graphics, button icons, and scripts, may not be copied without written permission.
Disclaimer
Letters in the Dark will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the contents contained within your Storyville Letters subscription (including but not limited to personal injury, pain and suffering, emotional distress, choking, medical complaints, death, or injury to any animal or person).
Termination
Letters in the Dark reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your account/subscription and/or to block your use of the Site.
Changes to Site Terms
Letters in the Dark reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions contained in the Terms of Use or any policy or guideline of the Site, at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes will constitute your acceptance of such changes.
